Getting started
How do I create a poll?
Tap to start a new poll, choose a spot on the map or use your current location, set your search radius, and pick the cuisines you're interested in. Give it a name and you're ready to share.
How do I invite friends?
Share your poll's link by text, AirDrop, or any messaging app. When friends open it, they go straight to the voting screen — no account or download required to vote.
How do I vote on restaurants?
Swipe each card right for yes or left for nope. Tap the star to Super Like a favorite — that counts as two votes. Made a mistake? Use undo to revisit the previous card before you submit.
Where do I see the results?
Open the results screen to watch tallies update live as your group votes. The top pick rises to the top, and you can switch between a ranked list and a map view. Tap “Go There” to get directions in Apple Maps.
Why can't the app find nearby restaurants?
Make sure location access is allowed for Restaurantr in your device settings, and that you have a connection when creating a poll. You can also drop a pin on the map to search a specific area, or widen your search radius.
I reinstalled the app and my polls are gone.
Restaurantr keeps things frictionless by not requiring an account, which means poll history lives on your device. Reinstalling starts you fresh. To keep a poll handy, save or re‑share its link.
How do I turn notifications on or off?
Notifications are optional and can be managed anytime in your device's Settings under Restaurantr. Enable them to know when friends join or when voting wraps up.
Is Restaurantr free?
Yes — Restaurantr is free to use, with no ads and no tracking.
